Athletic Training Field-Building H-2334
The Athletic Training Field Building H-2334 project included cleaning and grading the construction site to house physical fitness facilities for the U.S. Army. Features included retaining walls, drainage system, synthetic turf, chain-link perimeter fence, concrete entrance apron.
Campus Security Upgrades
The Campus Security Upgrades project provided upgraded inspection lanes to maintain daily operations for a new CMU guardhouse constructed with a steel canopy to cover three lanes of traffic. Features included extending water and sewer lines, Level III ballistic panels, door and windows, new HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fiber.
- Inspection lanes had card readers, gate arms and security cameras.
- Widened and extended lanes for commercial truck inspections
- Upgraded LED Street Lighting.
Generator Replacement
The project was a Design-Build project to relocate a 300kw generator for the Engineering Building and Warehouse 104 at NIEHS. The project included the design of a new Automatic Transfer Switch to be installed between the main switchboard and the network protectors located in electrical vault.
- Demolished the old ATS, generator pad, fuel tank at the existing building
- Install new concrete pad for the generator, install new ATS, conduit, wiring, new EDP in electrical room.
- Install new parallel feeders from Generator to Building 102 vault, new feeders from vault to electrical room.
- The transition outage occurred over a 3-day weekend.
Replace Drop Arms – Repair Airfield Vehicle Gates
The Replace Drop Arms project included the removal of two (2) gates and installation of new drop-down vehicle barriers for a commercial gate. Construction also included the removal of two non–rated drop arms and installed three new rated swing arms for a secure area.
- The construction company is responsible for coordinating the repair or replacement of the damaged gates, which may involve removing the old gates and installing new ones, or repairing the existing gates to bring them back to their original condition.
- The company ensures that the repair work is done in compliance with all relevant safety and security standards, as well as any local building codes and regulations.
- The company also ensures that the repaired or replaced gates are fully operational and functional, and that they provide the necessary level of security and operational efficiency for the airfield.
Rodbell Conference Center Renovation
The Rodbell Conference Center construction included demolition, installation of new metal studs and gypsum walls. Retrofit of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and fire protection systems. Installation of sound adsorbing panels, new audio video system, and custom decorative ceiling system.
- Renovation of a 5,000 square foot Conference Center.
- Maintained functionality of the existing facility.
- Scheduled all construction activities with a continuous flow.
